The grinding thrills of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, the arcade zaniness of Crazy Taxi, the imaginative weapons of Ratchet & Clank. There's the vivid color, acrobatics, and traversal style of Jet Set Radio. Bombastic characters and even their zoomed in still-frame introductions are reminiscent of Borderlands. Insomniac currently owns the Sunset Overdrive IP, so a sequel wouldn't necessarily be an Xbox exclusive.Sunset Overdrive is a melting pot of game design, spiritually linked to some very influential titles including ones from developer Insomniac Games' own stable.

In it's earliest stages, Sunset Overdrive was a DayZ-like zombie shooter. Insomniac first began working on Sunset Overdrive shortly after the release of Resistance 3.
